Ann Arbor and Saline Residential Market Reports, November 2008
Homes ARE selling in Ann Arbor and Saline, Michigan. In fact after a slow October and November, the market picked up in late November and two weeks before Christmas in rolling along. Perhaps the people decided it was time to buy and got out of “fear” mode throughout our nation.
The sale prices continue to drop, which is good for the buyers and not so good for the sellers. We continue to battle the foreclosure’s and “short sales” that can sell at below market prices.
With interest rates dropping below 6% many people are moving forward with their home purchases. It is expected that interest rates will fall below 5% after the first of the year with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac leading the charge.
For a realistic idea of how dropping your interest rates effects your buying power, read my friend and fellow bloggers post on Activerain. Written by Jeff Belonger from N.J.
