I have found that many sellers in our community if they lose their job, get relocated by their company, or experience another hardship and need to sell just bury their head in the sand.
Most homes are not worth they were several years ago. Everyone is in the same position. There is nothing to be embarrassed about.
The time to act is now, not in 3 months, or after you have lost your home in foreclosure. If you have missed a payment contact a Realtor that can help you with the "short sale" process. Not all Realtors understand the "short sale" process so be very careful who you hire.
I've posted on this before, but each week I am contacted by a seller who should have contacted me months before to help them sell. We tell our clients expect a minimum of 12 weeks AFTER WE GET an OFFER.
Look I understand when you get in trouble, fear grips you and you don't know what to do. Perhaps you are embarrassed, or humiliated?
But, please face your fears and get help you need sooner rather than later.
